About Chestermere, Alberta
Originally a lakeside summer village, in the last decade the town of Chestermere has grown rapidly, earning the title of fastest-growing municipality in Alberta. This bedroom community is only 25 kilometres from Calgary's downtown core, and features the 750 acre Chestermere Lake, the heart of this family-focused community. Over 14,800 people live in Chestermere's 4,800 homes.
The Chestermere real estate market contains primarily detached single-family houses in a diverse range of styles, including bungalows, split-level homes, and 2-storey homes. You can also find a smaller selection of attached homes in duplex, villa, and townhouse styles. As Chestermere continues to expand, there are also more apartment-style condo developments popping up. And of course, if you're into lakeside living, there are a number of properties surrounding the lake that have access to public and private dock space. A number of homes in Chestermere come with breathtaking views of the lake.
